Westminster is a city located in Orange County, near Seal Beach, Midway City and Rossmoor. Having won the All-America City Award in 1996, Westminster is admired for its rich heritage and diversity of population of its estimated 94,172 residents. A large number of Vietnamese refugees came to the city in the 1970’s, settling largely in an area now officially named Little Saigon. This neighborhood has become a major tourist attraction featuring the largest concentration of Vietnamese cultural amenities and shopping in the world outside Vietnam. Westminster is known for a genuine cooperative effort among citizens and businesses to provide progressive education, excellent civic and recreation services, cultural programs and a better business climate with strong economic development, which is why Money Magazine noted it one of the nation’s best places to live in 2006.
