La Mirada is located in east Los Angeles County just 19 miles southeast of downtown, adjacent to the Orange County line. Its neighbors include Santa Fe Springs, Cerritos, Buena Park and La Habra. Within the city of La Mirada, the estimated 50,477 residents enjoy more than 10 schools in the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District, as well as a 240-acre county park with an 18-hole golf course, a public country club, swimming pool and children’s fishing lake. This gracious city’s community services operate eight other park facilities with year-round activities for all ages, including a system of bicycle and horse trails, lighted athletic fields, an 18-hole disc golf course, a sports stadium, a library, and a civic theatre which houses the symphony orchestra and community playhouse.
