Rancho Palos Verdes is a quiet, affluent suburb of Los Angeles, located on the southwest side of Palos Verdes Peninsula. Sitting atop hills and cliffs, it is well known for its unmatched views of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Catalina Island. Several footpaths wind along the bluffs. With an population of more than 40,000 residents, this majestic community boasts its ocean views, rolling hills, parks, equestrian estates, hiking and bicycle trails and few, if any, industrial businesses. The city has been the site of a number of films and for the television series “The O.C.,” referring to its far south neighbor, Orange County.
