At First Team Real Estate the holidays are our favorite time of the year because we get to slow down and show our appreciation for our community – for the people who make our jobs worthwhile. It’s a season of good food, friends, family and plenty of opportunities to give back and give thanks for those around us. Southern California is our hometown, so during the holidays we do what we can to spread the love and of course plenty of fun.
Here’s what we’re doing this holiday season and ways for you to join in the fun and community giving.
Thanksgiving Food Drive at the Fullerton Office
The First Team Fullerton Office is once again hosting their Annual Food Drive to support and hungry and homeless that live right here in Orange County. Supporting Pathways of Hope and the Salvation Army, the Fullerton Office has worked tirelessly throughout the entire month of November to collect canned goods.
Last year the office distributed 13,500 bags to homes across two counties, collecting nearly two tons of food. With 14,000 bags already delivered, we’re sure our impact this year will be even greater.
So how exactly does it work? First Team agents distribute paper bags door to door in the neighborhoods they serve everyday. Each bag comes with easy to follow instructions and a date to leave the bag on your curb. Homeowners just need to fill up the bag with food, leave it on the curb on the date on the bag, and a First Team agent will do the rest!
To learn more about the program, or to drop off food or other donations, you can contact First Team Real Estate’s Fullerton’s Office at (714) 278-0808.
Huntington Beach Brookhurst Office Gives Back
This October the First Team Huntington Beach Brookhurst Office helped out the Orange County Model Engineers who run the Goat Hill Junction Railroad. This local non-profit organization in Costa Mesa provides train rides for children in the surrounding neighborhoods, and it was vandalized with part of their train track stolen – so it was First Team to the rescue!
The office helped raise and donate a total of $2,000 to restore the train. The event included raffles, silent auction face paining and free train rides. Our Brookhurst Office didn’t just make the community a cleaner and safer place to live, they made it more fun.
Home Office Food Drive
The First Team home office put their efforts toward donating canned goods and personal items this Thanksgiving to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. We filled our donation room to the top thanks to the generosity of each and every department – plus a little something extra from our generous CEO Cameron Merage!
And to kick off the Christmas Season…
We’re not done spreading holiday cheer and fun at First Team! Next week Santa is coming to the First Team Huntington Beach Brookhurst Office, Saturday December 6th from 8am-5pm. You can get a FREE framed photo with Santa and welcome the holiday season right.
There will be trains, treats, free raffles with prizes, carolers, and a Toys For Tots collections center so you can make this a season of giving. Bring the whole family (including pets!) and come see how we’ve decked the halls in Huntington. So if you’re in the neighborhood stop by – everyone else does! Last year we had more than 2,500 visitors and as they say, the more the merrier.
